John Hill is currently residing, in the Ashland, Oregon area. He performs regularly at local wineries as well as the occasional pub and night club. His music is best described as folk based eclectic. His articulate and rich baritone voice interplays with his finger style and lap slide acoustic guitar mixed with occasional stomp box and melodic harmonica. His various influences include traditional and contemporary folk, blues, americana and a bit of 40's crooning. All combine to provide an intriguing, musical romp through Hill's lush forest of melody and syncopation.
While venturing back into the world of as a solo singer songwriter after nearly a ten year hiatus, he has recently opened to a rousing crowd for Sean Hayes, has performed twice at the local Britt Cafe Series and recently was one of the featured artists at Florence's Winter Folk Fest and Prospect's Music in the Mountains in Oregon.
